This weekend is going to be a geek-out weekend of new techniques, toys, and networking with others centered around the content management system that we all love (and that drives most of the web), WordPress. I’ll be at WordCamp Raleigh both days this weekend, November 8th and 9th, and I’ll be mostly attending the developers track. Anyone else who is going to be there, drop a comment here or contact me, and we’ll make sure to connect at the event. Or, just track me down when you’re there.
The presentation that I’m looking forward to the most is Angling Angular in WordPress. I’ve played with Angular a bit (I guess it’s what all the cool kids are using), but I haven’t put it to use in any real-world projects yet, so I’m looking very forward to see how this framework can factor into my WordPress development. I’m also looking forward to the demo on Roots, because I’ve heard great things about this starter theme, and was actually just asked a few days ago if I was familiar with it while I was discussing a project with someone.
Do let me know what track you’ll be attending at WordCamp Raleigh. I also look forward to hearing good nuggets of information from the other tracks and presentations.
WordCamp Raleigh was great! I also enjoyed the session about the Roots starter theme.
The Roots presentation was one of my favorites. I appreciated the different potential use cases that the presenter drew between Roots and Underscores.
