I’m going to be honest, it doesn’t feel like it’s been a year since Raleigh’s last WordCamp. It’s being held earlier this year…it actually almost slipped by me…but the festivities commence this weekend. I know a lot of my colleagues will be in attendance, and I’m looking forward to a weekend of networking and learning.
Last year offered some outstanding sessions, and this year promises to be the same. I’ll be spending a lot of time in the developer track per usual, but this year there are sessions that pique my interest in almost every track, so I’ll likely be bouncing around a lot.
One of the things that I enjoy most about WordCamp is that it attracts such a diverse audience: developers, writers, business owners, marketers. That’s part of the attraction of WordPress, though…it’s more than a popular and beautiful content management system, it’s a community, regardless of how you’re using it.
Please do tweet at me this weekend if you’re attending, and we’ll connect face-to-face! And leave a comment about what tracks you’re planning to attend. Better yet, leave comments after and let me know what your favorite presentations were! See you at WordCamp.
